As she looks upon the trees outside her window, the sun shining on the green leaves
She exhales, such simple beauty is nature
What it must be to be a tall beautiful tree, standing strong, providing a home to wildlife
This luscious tree, it has everything. So big, boastful and full
But doesn’t everything look perfect from the outside perspective?
She kneels on the floor of her flat, full of fears for her future
She shed her tears as she’s just had enough for today
Here is another side to her. Usually bubbly and laughing, full of humour
Releasing the pressure valve of her innermost feelings and doubts
“What does she have to cry about?” People will ask.
Everything.
Even though she’s conquered more lions and bears than she can count, she’s weary about the next lion to be slain
Even though she’s fought to rebuild herself, she’s so scared about the next time she’ll crack
Even though she knows she’s worthy, she’s doubtful that anyone else will see just how much
No matter how she’s climbed her way up her career path, she’s tired from fighting off imposter syndrome
No matter how she knows she’s on the right path for her journey, she’s struggling with feeling like it’s never enough
No matter how resilient she has become, she breaks down more than anyone would ever know
She looks up to the sky, the expanse immeasurable, wondering where she goes from here
Does it even matter?
She smiles as she closes her eyes, knowing tomorrow will be another day, another chance to prove that life is worth all the aspects of living
Living to the fullest.
