CB: I Am Worthy

|

Gosh! Does anyone ever think no one will love them until they’ve fixed all their imperfections?

I do. I know it’s common 🙂

In my last session, I talked about not being able to love myself completely and thus disallowing a man to love me as well.

My counsellor took no time to correct me, child.

She said: “Not loving yourself will not stop another person from loving you, it’ll just make it harder in some aspects”. See I thought by not loving myself and sharing my insecurities, the person would then take these opinions on as their own, and see me as ugly, worthless and unloveable.

Thank God that’s not true.

I’m realising that I will never be perfect and I must use my own judgement to decide when I am ready to have a relationship.

I need to learn to love myself more, not just the good stuff.

And I need to let people love me and believe them when they tell me so.

I am accomplished.

I am smart.

I can look after myself and others.

Any man who is blessed enough to have me by their side, is going to know it.

So the next time I focus on the one thing I don’t like about myself, I will remember how much the good in me outweighs that.

I will not compromise. I will keep my high standards. And I will be loved.

God wants infinitely more for me, and I’m going to get just that.
