Make Love

|

This is something new for me. I am challenging myself to try new things and to write a little each day. I hope you enjoy.

Eyes downcast, shoulders hunched

No access, boxed off

Speakers once blaring, suddenly releasing honeysuckle sweet melody

No hesitation, senses set alight

Chest arches in anticipation

Him waiting beyond arms outstretched

Inner being vibrating with necessity of movement

The sensual intake of breath before she unleashes her She

Strong purposeful strides until eyes upon her graceful curves

Anticipated rise and fall of chest, eyes travelling to meet his wanting

Outstretched hand, fearless proposition

Confident acceptance, hands sparking connection

Travelling in tandem

To the sweet spot, fiery core

Sweet rhythmic beats flooding in

Thrown back, leg extending Heavenward

Electricity sparking, lightning fighting

Room pulsing with questioning intentions

Away she spins, too quick for the taking

After her, him in suspense-filled pursuance

Drawn in, closer still

Mouse to cheese, honey to bees

Magnets

Current flowing back and forth

Hearing harmony, fragmented

Smelling heat, yearning

Seeing beauty, raw

Tasting discovery, salacious

Feeling spirits, colliding

Synergy

Indistinguishable distance amidst

Chests heaving

Vision impenetrable

She became his

    Such beautiful words.
As someone who writes about nudity — a short story on my blog is about a woman who goes naked in order to better understand herself — it is thought-provoking to read a portrayal of sex like the one here, since nudity and sex tend to go hand in hand.
    But, back to your poem:
I really get a sense of the connection between these two. Human beings are driven to give all of themselves to each other, and I would say that your words excellently capture that drive, and the satisfaction that is a result of it.

      Hiya. Thank you so much.
Ooh I’ll definitely have to have a read 🙂
Yes! This piece is actually describing a man’s pursuit of a woman to dance. I tried to show that you can express sensual love through other means than sex.
Thank you again so much 😀

You’re welcome. 🙂 Looking forward to reading more of your writing.
Thank you, too, for explaining what the piece is about. 🙂 That’s one of the beauties of art: it can mean so many different things.
