So many thoughts overwhelm my mind, such like worrying a guy I like won’t like me back because I have a fat stomach, bigger arms and prominent thighs.
I genuinely feel one of the hardest things to do in life is to fully love yourself. Flaws and all. Criticisms and all. Judgement and all.
I see people – bigger than me – loving themselves loudly. And I still cannot grasp how, as I’ve spent most of my life covering myself up. For fear that I may offend someone by my bigger existence.
This is probably the biggest struggle I’m facing right now. But I’m not failing because I haven’t given up on myself, and I won’t. I’m not where I want to be, but instead of waiting to be the “perfect size” where I’ll be “so much happier”, I am going to love on myself now. Right now. As the perfect size doesn’t exist and being a size 8 won’t make all my body hate and dysmorphia disappear.
So don’t mind me whilst I share some victories and speed bumps of my journey. Every stage is beautiful, I just have to be willing to see it.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
